How do I get started?

Reaching out for support takes courage and you’re already taking that first step. Please contact me via phone or text at (406) 359-6352, or send me an email and I will return your message as promptly as possible. You can also use the online scheduler to schedule an initial session directly. I offer an initial, free 15-minute consultation for you to ask questions, discuss the process of therapy, and determine whether you’d like to move forward with regular counseling sessions.

Then what?

If you are ready to begin working together, we will schedule our initial intake session. If you have any questions during the paperwork/intake process, I am here to help. Prior to your first session please check your insurance benefits if you plan to use insurance and/or submit a receipt of services (superbill) to your insurance company to confirm your financial responsiblity.

What can I expect for our initial session?

Plan for our sessions to be approximately 50-55 minutes. Starting a new relationship can be overwhelming and even awkward. During our initial session, I will cover important aspects of the therapy relationship and answer any questions you have about the process. I may ask for details about your background to help understand you, your life experiences, and how best to help you. As we near the end of the initial session we will also discuss your goals and determine a schedule for recurring appointments if you choose to continue with recurring therapy appointments.
