FAQ

  • Do you take insurance?

Blue Cross Blue Shield, PacificSource, Mountain Health Co-op, Allegiance, Cigna, and First Choice Health Network (including Aetna) insurances are accepted.

I can also provide you with a superbill of services that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement (if your insurance covers out-of-network benefits). It is your responsibility to know and understand how your insurance company will handle the superbill. It is also your responsibility to request a superbill as needed. Clients using their out-of-network benefits are required to pay the rate of $165 per session at the time of service.

  • What are your rates?

Standard rates are $165 for a 50-55 minute individual counseling session. If the cost of care is a concern, please talk with me. Investing in your emotional health and wellbeing is a value I take seriously. You are paying for the possibility to permanently change your life for the better!

Credit card, debit card, HSA card, and cash are all acceptable forms of payment. You will be charged at the end of each session. Please ask to see the Credit Card and Attendance policy for more information.

I can also provide you with a Good Faith Estimate for your total cost of therapy at any time. Please just ask!

  • What forms of payment do you take?

Holistic Therapy Montana takes credit (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) and debit cards (including HSA/HRA cards!).

Payment is due at the time of service. Billing and payment will be covered during the initial consult, in intake paperwork, and briefly during the first session. Please ask any questions needed to help clarify this process!

  • What are your hours?

Business hours are generally Monday-Thursday from 8:00am-4:00pm MST. I try to reply within 24 hours of your voicemail and as soon as possible to text, and/or email (unless this occurs on Friday and/or over the weekend).

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911 or the national suicide prevention lifeline at 988, or go to your local emergency center.

  • Where are you located?

My office is located at 1970 Stadium Dr. Suite B in Bozeman, MT. I offer in-person, virtual, and walk-and-talk therapy services.

If you are located in Bozeman, MT, I do offer walk-and-talk counseling sessions at the regular session rate of $165 per 50-55 minute session. Please contact me for more details to setup a walk-and-talk!

  • How long does counseling take?

The process of counseling will be different for each individual. Some people attend counseling for a few weeks or months, and others find benefit from a longer time period. You and I can discuss your goals and evaluate the timeline as we progress together. As the client, you have the right to end counseling at any time.

  • What can I expect?

Each counseling experience will be different depending on your needs and desires. You can expect that you and I will work together to build trust and form a safe relationship. You can expect that I will support you, listen attentively, model a healthy relationship experience, give you feedback, and follow ethical guidelines. You can expect that you and I will work together to help you achieve your goals for counseling. You can also expect to do some work ;) Counseling is not necessarily easy; however, it is worth it!

  • Are sessions confidential?

As a therapist, confidentiality is the cornerstone of this work. Confidentiality is what makes our space safe and allows us to build trust. In order for growth to be made, a high level of trust needs to be present, thus everything that is shared within the session is kept confidential. Confidentiality, and its limits, will be discussed in more detail in your first session and is explained in detail within the informed consent and privacy policy.

  • How do I make an appointment?

Please contact me by phone at (406) 359-6352 or by email. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to answer questions and assess if we may be a good fit. If we decide to work together, we will schedule an initial session and I will send you the information needed to login to the client portal. The intake paperwork and telehealth sessions are accessed online in the client portal.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Holistic Therapy Montana requests that 24-hours advance notice is given for cancellation or rescheduling. An $85 fee will be billed and charged to your card on file for notice give under the 24-hour mark. I have a strict cancellation/no-show policy which includes change of plans, forgotten appointments, illness (if telehealth is an option), etc.

What about an emergency? Life happens. If there is a true emergency please inform me as soon as possible. In these instances, you will not be charged the no-show/late cancel fee. Please see the policies on payment and attendance.

  • How do I get the most out of telehealth?

Telehealth is a wonderful way to attend therapy. I recommend treating your telehealth session as you would if you were to come into the office. This is a time and space for you to step away from your day-to-day responsibilities.

    Tips for telehealth:

    • Find a quiet, confidential space, where you can feel relaxed.

    • If possible, turn off your work notifications (especially if you are doing telehealth from your work setting).

    • Check to make sure you have strong wi-fi and/or service.

    • Do you need anything else? This might be having a glass of water, tissues, a cup of tea, snuggling with your pet, or grabbing a cozy blanket to place on your lap...
